Screen-printing

After a horrible trip to the doctors, due to the fact I somehow have developed a chest infection.. cue antibiotics, i have to stay indoors or i might have an asthma attack yay! So i am making the most of the warmth and doing a little bit of screen printing. I love the fact that i never really get bored and my parents let me make a mess (thank you)

I have decided to create a limited edition run of Tattooed bearded man illustration, these will be printed onto t-shirts, tote bags and will be made into a print with watercolour detail. The money made from these sales will be going towards my Velvet feather shop fund, which is going really well at the moment, over the next few days I will share with you all my progress and how i am getting along with it all. I printed a limited amount of these illustrations for the week make london craft fair two weeks ago and i sold out, so hopefully a few more people will get the opportunity to have one. The bearded tattoo dude is one of my favorite drawings….inspired by my father.

I’m just waiting now for the screen-drawing fluid to dry and then roll on printing.

I love screen printing but I still haven't got the hang of it yet πŸ™ Do you print straight over the blue drawing fluid? Or do you go ahead and use the awful browny red screen block stuff? πŸ™‚ xx
