Before and after : A splash of colour

*Paint used system3 acrylics 154 phthalo turquoise 588 vermillion 009 titanuim white 355 leaf green

Saturdays are the best for chilling out watching a film and painting, after a rather hectic morning of meeting the brother’s girlfriend i spent the rest of the afternoon adding a bit of colour to my somewhat blank looking room. The other day dad bought home a little wooden book he found in a skip (thrifty dad!) and i decided to use it as a little shelf/cubby hole. Anyway it was looking a little plain and worse for ware so i thought lets add some colour to it. I painted* up my little trinket box with flowers and the frame to my pin board to add a little extra to the room what do you think?

Its always so lovely to create something simple and functional and not have to spend alot to make it perfect, have you created something thrifty lately?

There is a little Give away running over at Little chief Honeybee for a chance to win one of my  custom outfit illustration, would be lovely if you all had a little look.

I love that colour, you've further reminded me that I need to paint my cork board that I bought, I keep forgetting! My dad finds stuff in skips too, although half the stuff falls apart 😛 bless him

I love that colour! I'm always on the search for stuff from skips etc. In Norwich, where I am, people tend to put 'Free to a good home' signs on piles of stuff in their front garden. I've had some awesome stuff for free that way. Not sure if it's common anywhere else though! xx
