from my studio…

This is currently what my desk resembles at the moment, watercolour upon watercolour commission. I currently have the week off work due to the half term, i am just soaking up all the lie-ins, nap times and family moments. I am taking this week to recover from my exhaustion. I can’t really sit still for to long though (its just the way i am) so i put out a request for anyone wanting an illustration and oh my did i get a lot of lovely emails from you all. I am currently working my way through the hundred odd emails ** i received, you filled my heart with warmth so thank you. I am so grateful for the love and response i have received about my illustrations, I do feel my confidence has come on leaps and bounds since sharing it with all you lovely lot. As I am hoping to freelance pretty soon the response is really helping my heart make the right decisions, i am currently working on a few illustrations for some of my favorite bloggers, i feel rather privilege to be chosen to illustrate them.

I am still waiting for my fabric to be delivered with my illustrations all lovingly printed on, I am rather excited to get them sewn and made into my dresses, this is far to exciting. Once the fabric has been dropped through my letter box, you will be the first people I share it with.

** I have received a lot of emails from a lot of people asking for a free illustration for a blog button swap (or just a free illustration), as lovely & generous as I tried to be with other bloggers, I will not be able to do this swap as it takes me a long time to do all the commissions and the amount of effort that goes into one illustration is not the equivalent to a blog button ( and i do feel a bit upset by this)  this may come across as a bit rude but each piece is hand created and my paid commissions come first.

This is great news love, well done and also I hate when people ask for free illustrations as I get it all the time myself and it really does upset and annoy me that they think a drawing just magically appears.

I think that your illustrations are way too cute. You have a creative eye and I think that is really important. I think you deserve to be lost in emails that make you feel confident! 🙂
