so far…

It has been a super duper busy week, even though I have been in and around the internet for the last few days I haven’t managed to post anything, where has the time gone this week? So the first half of the week definitely tested my confidence as a blogger, which if you are a reader over on twitter you will know why. There will be a post tomorrow about my interview with Lydia Bright for littlewoods. I’ve become a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to posts, so its taking me a little while to get it right.

So much fun, I feel really excited about all the new things I am working on, I’m so looking forward to taking you on my journey.

In other news my new illustrations went down a storm in my etsy shop, which was so unexpected and exciting, i think i have two styles of tote bags left from six so thank you. I am currently working on illustrated a jewellery collection which is really exciting, tattoo men jewellery who could ask for more?! you can follow my collections progress on my instagram,  _ellamasters_

I also got rid of my ombre hair, thank you all so much for the lovely words when i wasn’t sure last week, It just didn’t look right curly, and you know me I love my curly hair, so for the moment I am red until I manage to dye it back to brown on sunday.

I have also set up a little formspring (click here), for the people asking me certain questions about my illustrations ( or blogging ), I have had a lot of people ask me specifics in the past about what exact bagging company i go to, name of my printers, exact paper for my totes. I am more then happy to answer questions about techniques, styles and answer your advice etc, but sometimes if I give away all my businesses secrets thats not really fair on me, i do like to keep a little bit of my business private. At one point this was getting me down, as I really don’t like saying no sorry I don’t want to tell you, but if i give away all my secrets well there wouldn’t be any point I hope you can all understand this. You are more then welcome to ask me. ( please don’t feel as if this is directed at you in particular if you have asked me any questions I have over 7,000 reader and followers throughout the internet and social media sites, so I do get a lot of request please don’t feel like i am singling anyone out I would hate for you to think that)

Work was more then hectic this week, I am finding the transition from illustrator / blogger to LSA /  Teacher to confusing for my brain at the moment, since Christmas but I think I  definitely need to get back in to my routine, speaking of routine, hopefully I will be joining the gym this week scary stuff! I also found out that I’ve lost a stone since christmas, cutting the snacks out has made such a difference and I managed to fit in a size 12 in Topshop the other day this never happens, maybe that could explain my shocked reaction when I got spotted in Topshop Oxford street by one of my blog readers, when I was coming out of the changing rooms apologies Abby for my startled face, was lovely to chat to you. So I think that is my week upto date, I have a blogger date tomorrow with some lovely blog ladies, where better then Spitalfields to hang out for the day!

You sound like a busy bee! January is the worst for that I find. You never get to stop!

Your hair looks beaut red, can't wait to see it brown 🙂 I might have to start cutting out snacks, I literally ate my weight in chocolates over Christmas. Still, what a way to put a bit of weight on, eh? Haha. I keep telling myself to get to the gym though!

I've just joined the gym online- scary bananas! I have been running outside since New Year (good girl) but the weather recently has made it impossible. I'm over to have a little nosey at your shop just now 🙂 x

    Ella,

I totally understand not wanting to give all your secrets away. I have been thinking about this a lot. It is tough because you want to be enabling and encouraging others to create and be artists but you want to keep your treasures hidden. I totally get it!

You're an inspiring lady and I always appreciate your honesty and reflections.

I understand completely with keeping part of your business personal to you. I mean part of the whole experience is the trial and error stages. It's nice to source out materials yourself rather than just ask someone as the same effect may not work for everyone. It's probably taken you a while to find things that work for you so like I said it's understandable not wanting to share absolutely everything – part of the mystery! 🙂

well done on the weight loss, thats very impressive!

Looking forward to your interview post. Yeah, it can be difficult trying to keep part of your business a secret but it's necessary. Congrats on the weightloss as well, I'm starting my routine of going to the gym twice a week next week!
