Tea Tuesday : Alice in wonder land tea and tea set give away with whittards

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to illustrate the Alice in Wonder Land Tea set, due to the fact the tea cup is white, I should of put something colourful in the background!! I'm such a stickler for perfection!! Talking of perfection i just love the perfect delicate detail on this mug, all around the saucer edge and the rim of the tea cup are these beautiful delicate little drawings of, cats, mice, chess pieces, hearts and tea pots just to name a few. It is so freaking cute!

When I infused my Strawberry and kiwi fruit tea the colour contrast was just beautiful! You can tell I am a massive Tea Geek, chatting about colour contrast! The fruit Tea itself was a little different to the flavors I had tried before it has a sort of kick of kiwi at the end which is really refreshing. I was obsessed with Fruit teas whilst at was at uni, i think its because I lived with a load of vegans and vegetarians..yes they got me hocked total peer pressure...that I missed sipping beautiful tasting and smelling teas!  I thought the strawberry part was rather English sounded and worked well with the Alice in Wonder Land theme.

So if you fancy winning a set and a beautiful pack of Strawberry and Kiwi

day out in london : Garden Museum

Two weekends ago me and mum decided to go on a little adventure in town and head to a museum/gallery we had never been to before. I'm a massive lover of anything educational and filled with culture...so we ventured south of the river to Lambeth, where we visited to The Garden Museum and I was bowled over by the beautiful display of flowers hanging from the ceiling which is an instillation piece by Rebecca Law. It was like walking into a dream I loved it! When the light came through the stain glass windows the dying flowers were so beautiful, if I was to ever get married (ha! I joke) I would love it to resemble this instillation piece! The Museum itself resides inside the ancient church of St Mary's and it is the perfect space for such delicate exhibitions.

After we had wandered around the upstairs exhibition we decided to  grab some lunch from the lovely cafe within the museum itself, and the food was an absolute dream! Home ground and so lovely we had copious amounts of tea and chatted, as mum treated me to lunch I treated her to a slice of cake, I went with courgette cake and mum went with butternut squash, it was so scrumptious! As it was a crisp cold late morning we wandered around the garden at the back of the church it has a strange scattering of grave stones and delicate flowers (it was a cemetery attached to the church).

I also got money off the exhibition with my Art fund/national pass card which is always nice, the money goes towards the up keep of the church and museum. The Fashion and Garden Exhibition was filled with plenty of gorgeous garments and paintings inspired by gardens, flowers and all things floral.

I will definitely be visiting the museum again and that's for sure!

Life Lately.

I've had a little impromptu break away from pretty much all my social media, it's been a much needed break away for my tiny brain, as I have been dealing with a personal loss and life stresses, sometimes a break away is what is needed.

In other less (selfishly) depressing news I've had to have some of my hair chopped off as it seems to have grown stupidly wonky, so now it sits just below my shoulders...devastated I bloody love my hair! It seems to naturally do this, I think its the side I sleep on silly hair!

I have just had one of the best weekends spent with Jaymie wandering the streets of Notting Hill, shopping, falling in love with the amazing Biscuiteers biscuits, drinking lemonade wearing my new favorite Breton top and then spending the night watching Temples at Shepard's Bush Empire, they were pretty amazing, I also bumped into Suki Waterhouse in the loos which was pretty surreal as she is a real life beauty!

The weather was so lovely on Sunday that I seem to have developed a one sided tan haha that will teach me for sitting in the sun without realizing and having the ability to tan within minutes. To be honest, I'd forgotten what it felt like to being warmed up by something other then a hot water bottle or a radiator! Oh being English is joyous!

So here is to another busy week, at the moment I am enjoying being busy, makes coping a little easier..I hope you have all had a good Monday?
