summer Camera project

I re-discovered my old Pentax camera today and whilst the weather has been lovely I promised myself I would take some pictures manually with my old camera. So I found some expired film (dad has bags full) and I am hoping to create a little project over the summer which will include my little camera. I often take around 200 photos a week, I want to take some special photos with the Pentax, so this project I will be using my Pentax to focus my photography ability rather then snapping away looking at the back of the camera and deleting the photo if i don’t like it. The photo above was taken when I took a trip to Paris back in 2001, I loved rushing the film to get developed and opening the little envelope and being reminded of your holiday via sepia, blurred images with thumb shapes in the corner of all pictures. I hope my Camera will come along with me this summer on many adventures…so I can create some happy warm memories.

Analogue cameras really do have a charm that you don't get with DSLRs. I love that each picture is a surprise!

What a fab camera, in fact I think Pentax is the best around in my opinion. You have inspired me to do a camera project of my own. I'm going to source out my old manual camera and see what results I get.

I have about 6 or 7 film cameras that I am dying to run some film through this year. Digital is convenient yes, but film is so much more beautiful and the thought that goes into each picture is much more artistic if you like.

I'm scared that they stop processing film!

Can you tell i'm a film lover?

This is such a lovely idea!
I'd love to get my hands on an old camera and I know exactly what you mean with the anticipation! I remember getting so excited when my parents came back with the developed pictures 🙂
