My day…

First thing is always first in the morning, making myself my sweet chai tea so I am actually able to function. I decided to wear my new favorite dress from Monki  forgive the speckled mirror shot (it was clean) mum and dad insist on vintage mirrors in the house, they all have aging on them.

On saturday I met up with one of best friends from uni who I hadn’t seen for two years.  We decided to head into town, was a little bit of a bad idea there were a crazy amount of people milling around the Thames due tot the Jubilee and the pageant on the river. We hadn’t really planned it very well, We decided to pop to a variety of galleries to escape the crowds, I just love wandering around all the rooms and gazing at the paintings. I love listening to all the people analyzing the paintings, i secretly laugh to myself (not in a snobby i have a fine art degree kind of way) but in a sort of please stop talking and just enjoy the painting kind of way.  We jumped on a boat and took a little trip from the Tate Britain down to the Tate Modern for £3.70 not to bad. We sat on the riverside and enjoyed an epic picnic of chocolate brownies and peanut butter KitKats. We did spend 3 hours people watching and catching up after not really seeing each other for the last 2 years ( holly moved away). Its always great to spend quality time with good friends. I had to say good bye to holly at waterloo station I was sad to have to say good bye, but we have planned lots of wonderful adventures in the summer time. My feet were killing after our epic jaunt around the Thames, my new Topshop boots have to be the best things I ever purchased. Once I got home we had lovely Greasy chips and battered sausage yummy!

Oh I remember standing in awe of the Ophelia painting when I was in London two years ago… seems like yesterday though, time is going by too quick for my liking. Your day out sounds exciting, I hope I stay in touch with folks from uni as I graduate this year and it's incredibly daunting to think of what's going to happen in the future.

Can't beat a battered sausage and chips any day of the week I say!
