So its been a few weeks since I completed my Race for Life feels like it was so long ago now. On the day I was so nervous as I was running it alone with the support of my sister, little Nephew and my Mother on the side lines cheering me on. It was a pretty damp day which does no favors for my chest and my Asthma, but the atmosphere was great and we did a little work out before hand all together. It was nice to all different woman giving it a go, I didn’t go into the first set of runners I decided to stay in the middle and head out with the joggers which I think was a good decision. I wasn’t aware before hand that we would be divided up.
The course was rather bumpy but we were running outdoors in a park its to be expected I guess, I hadn’t run properly outside in about a month so I was constantly looking at the ground worrying I would fall over a root or a small child.
I really enjoyed myself surprisingly, I ran it in 33 minutes which for me is a personal best and I was pretty over the moon when I crossed that finishing line and gave Teddy a big squeeze. We had kitted him out in a little outfit that was too cute.
So you can imagine when I got home I ran the biggest bubble bath (after stretching i promise) and grabbed all my LUSH products and had a nice chilled bath was seriously the best. I would seriously recommend to women wanting to get started to consider running with Race for Life really friendly atmosphere and definitely eases you into running.
HOPE YOU’RE HAVING A WONDERFUL DAY
