I have been making more of an effort to get my brain working recently, it’s really important to me to get my brain thinking about other things, I picked up the copy of just kids by Patti smith in the Brick Lane book shop and it has to be the best £8 I have ever spent, so since reading just kids I have worked my way through a few more and it feels great to get back into reading and disappearing into new worlds.
I ventured to Brighton with Rob this weekend, for lots of coffee, sunshine and food. I adore Brighton as it has the same feel as Falmouth (where I went to Uni) but a hell of a lot closer!
The lovely Lyzi decided to get one of my illustrations tattooed on her forever, made my week.
I’ve had a lot of time to myself, and I have made a point of getting outside as much as possible as I find it helps me when I am feeling low, I have taken up journaling again which I am super pleased about, it really is the simple things in life.
I have been working like a crazy through my portrait to do list this is one I created for the lovely Jess I have 50% off at the moment with the code sunfun2016 over at Ella Masters studio so you can grab yours at half the price.
Lastly I have been spending a lot of time with my best friend so flitting my time between Norfolk and London, we took some silly self timer selfie and we called this photo our Simon and Garfunkle folk poses.
I love Brighton too! I try to visit as much as I can and went for my birthday last year, but haven't been since – I'm definitely going to rectify that now it's getting warmer though. I completely agree that getting out of the house works wonders for the mood I'm in, I've recently taken up running (or running/walking, haha!) and am finding it so relaxing 🙂
